 Mechanism of the Piano.


  • The piano is a musical instrument played using a keyboard
  • It is widly used in classical,Jazz music for solo performence ensemble use chamber music,church music,accompabiment,for composing and rehersal.
  • Although the piano is not portable and often expessive.
  • It' versatility have made it one of the world's most famous musical instrument.

  • The strings are sounded when the keys are pressed down a felt padded wooden hammer.
  • Wooden hammer hits string.
  • The hammers rebound when the keys are released.
  • The strings vibrate at their resonant freequanzy.
  • These vibration trasmitted through a bridge to a sound board that more efficiently couples acoustic energy to the air.
  • The word piano is shorted from          " pianoforte " the Italian word for the terms that indicat soft and loud respectively.
  • The grater the firce the greater the velocity of a key press, the louder the sound of the note.
  • The invention of the modern piano is credited to   Bartolomeo Cristofori(1655-1731) of Italy.
  • But the piano was invented ealiar technological innovation.
  • The first keyboard instrument were Harpsichord,Clavichord and Organ.
  • There are two types of piano.

                              Upright Piano.
